Copper Theft Case Going to Trial

A Bessemer man charged with breaking and entering is going to trial. 27-year-old Scott Savero is scheduled for trial December 17 in Ontonagon County Circuit Court. He and 25-year-old Cory Leuzzo were arrested in August by Troopers from the Wakefield Post of the Michigan State Police. The pair allegedly stole copper in the Carp Lake Township and White Pine areas in Ontonagon County. Leuzzo will appear in District Court December 19 for a scheduling conference. Savero’s next court appearance is November 24 in Circuit Court for a preliminary exam.
