Congressman Miller Calls For Federal Investigation Into Line 5 Pipelines

Michigan Congresswoman Candice Miller wants a federal investigation that could lead to shutdown of twin oil pipelines beneath the waterway where Lakes Huron and Michigan converge.

Her legislation would require an 18-month study to determine whether Enbridge Company’s Line 5 poses a significant risk to the Great Lakes.

If so, it would be deactivated. Enbridge says the pipeline is safe and constantly monitored.
