When the August primary comes around, voters in Michigan’s 1st Congressional District will have several candidates to choose from.
Lieutenant General Jack Bergman would like to be one of them.
The 69-year-old Watersmeet resident is now retired from the United States Marine Corps, but that doesn’t mean he feels his service to the country is over.
Bergman visited the area on Thursday, holding a meet and greet at the Franklin Township Hall.
He is running as a Republican, which means he is facing off against State Senator Tom Casperson and former State Senator Jason Allen for the nomination.
If you missed Bergman’s appearance, you can still hear the entire interview with him on Sunday’s episode of Copper Country Today.
