Coffee With A Cop

Today you can spend some time with those who protect and serve the community during the Coffee With A Cop event going on this morning until 11 a.m. The Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post will be hosting the event at the Suomi Restaurant in Houghton. Among those who will also attend are the Houghton and Hancock City police departments, the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department as well as MTU Public Safety. First Lieutenant James Danison says people should take advantage of this opportunity because it removes the tension that may develop between police and civilians.

The event provides an opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn about law enforcement operations in the Copper Country.
