Closing Out the Sauna Week Celebrations with a Community Forum and Expo in Hancock

National Sauna Week celebrations in Hancock will wrap up over the weekend. Tomorrow there are two public events the community may find interest in when it comes to a favorite Finnish pastime. A sauna Forum and Expo.

The forum will bring together residents in the area to talk about the possibility of a public sauna. Recently in Finland public sauna houses have been a growing trend in communities. The forum will start at 10 am inside the Finnish American Heritage Center and hosted by the Finnish Theme Committee.

Then at 11 am Quincy Green will open the sauna expo. During the events locals interested in learning more about owning a sauna can check out local vendor options, learn more about the maintenance and upkeep from experts, and gain a better understanding of what adding the experience of the sauna to your life. While there also check out the hand-crafted work done by CCISD students will plan to auction off a sauna the CTE Construction technology program recently completed.
