The Hancock City Council has approved their 2015-16 Budget.
A brief public hearing on the budget proposal was held prior to Wednesday’s regular meeting but no one chose to speak.
According to the budget, Hancock will bring in about $7.8 million in revenues with roughly $7.6 million in expenditures.
The millage rate will remain the same for the sixth year in a row with 13.4215 mils levied for the general fund and an additional .7806 mils for the Fire Department, for a total millage tax rate of 14.2021.
The new budget for the fiscal year 2015-16 will take effect on July 1st
