Local autistic students will benefit from the work of one member of the Copper Country Intermediate School District
Speech therapist Kristen Roggeman has received the Interdisciplinary Certificate in Autism.
The announcement was made at this week’s meeting of the CCISD.
Superintendent George Stockero and the board praised Roggeman for working toward the certification, adding this will now provide more support of local schools.
Stockero also informed the board that the CCISD buses have passed this year’s state inspection without any issues.
The board commended the bus crew on their hard work and dedication in making sure all of their buses are safe.
And finally, though many people may think the summer is down time for schools, Stockero says the ISD uses this time to provide multiple professional development opportunities for local school teachers and administrators.
This summer, the CCISD will provide 38 separate classes and expect 400 teachers and administrators to take part in the session.
