CCISD Finalizes Stockero Contract – May 22, 2014 – Todd VanDyke
The Copper Country Intermediate School District has taken the final step to bring George Stockero on board as its new superintendent. At its meeting on Tuesday, the ISD board approved Stockero’s contract. He’ll replace retiring Superintendent Dennis Harbour on July 1st. Stockero has been the superintendent of the Chassell School District. The Chassell District is in the process of interviewing candidates to replace Stockero.
The CCISD Board approved the purchase of a new pickup truck from Copper Country Ford. Business manager Ken Maki says the truck will be used for plowing and hauling refuse. The Board also accepted several retirements… including that of Transportation and Maintenance Coordinator Tom Stimac.
