A new poll in Michigan shows Ben Carson leading the field of Republican candidates for president.
The survey, by Lansing-based Marketing Resource Group, has Carson topping the field at 24 percent. Donald Trump is a close second at 22 percent and within the margin of error.
Beyond those two, no other GOP candidate even reaches double figures.
Jeb Bush was the next closest with 8 percent of the vote followed by Mike Huckabee at 6 percent, Marco Rubio with 4 percent, Carly Fiorina and Ted Cruz tied at 3 percent.
John Kasich, Rand Paul and Scott Walker received 2 percent.
Six others registered one percent or less in the poll.
The margin of error is plus or minus four percentage points.
