UPDATE: The Calumet Police Department believes the car stolen from Kissell Chevrolet in Calumet Thursday morning was taken by the man arrested earlier in the week for a break-in at Harter’s Auto Parts in Calumet on April 21st (see related story here). Calumet Police Chief David Outinen says he’s asking the Houghton County Prosecutor to issue an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Isaac Laplander of Calumet.
Laplander is also wanted by authorities in Wisconsin, who think he was involved in a break-in in Hurley Thursday morning, and stole another car in Taylor County.
Laplander was out on bond after having been arraigned on charges related to the break-in at Harter’s.
