Camp B&E Suspect In Custody

A South Range man is under arrest for allegedly breaking into a camp.

Michigan State Police say Troopers from the Calumet Post arrested the 49-year-old man formerly of Baraga County in connection with a Breaking and Entering investigation of a seasonal residence in Duncan Township in southern Houghton County.

On Tuesday, Troopers executed search warrants at several different locations in both Baraga and Houghton County and seized numerous items of property from the locations.

During the search, police made contact with the suspect and arrested him in Baraga and transported him to the Houghton County Jail.

His name is being withheld pending arraignment in 97th District Court.

Troopers have identified some of the owners of the property seized.

The incident remains under investigation.
