Icy roads are being partly blamed for an accident in Chassell Township on Monday.

The vehicle was being driven by a 51-year-old Calumet man was attempting to negotiate a sharp corner on the road near Channel View Lane when he lost control on the snow and ice covered road surface
The driver then slid his vehicle into the ditch where it then rolled over onto its roof.
A 36-year-old Calumet woman, who was in the front passenger seat, suffered minor head and neck injuries and was treated at the scene by Chassell First Responders.
She was then later transported to U.P. Health Systems—Portage for treatment of her injuries.
Her condition and that of the driver were not reported.
Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor.
