One of the Copper Country’s largest employers is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Calumet Electronics was founded in 1968, to provide jobs for workers who were displaced by the decline of the copper industry. It manufactures printed circuit boards, and has thrived despite a contraction of that industry that has seen most of its competitors fail, or shift jobs overseas.

Calumet Electronics employs more than 300 local workers. It was recently cited by President Donald Trump for its commitment to maintaining and expanding American jobs.
