Two special events in the Copper Country are finally here. The first is Bridgefest Feast, formerly known as Seafood Fest, which will be held at Kestner Park in Houghton. The annual rototary fundraiser will feature live entertainment and food from local establishments including Fitzgerald’s, Habaneros, The Library and MTU Dining Services. Rotarian Bill Mussellman says the joint relationship between the Houghton Rotary and the Bridgefest committee will improve the quality of both events.
Along with the parade, Bridgefest will feature the fireworks show, helicopter rides, the antique car show and local vendors lined up along the Houghton waterfront. Mussellman says he expects a great turnout this year.
The festivities begin today with the food pavilion and vendor booths opening at 5 p.m. and then the parade starts in Hancock at 7 p.m. For a full schedule, click here.
