Boaters Rescued Near Marquette

Three people were rescued Saturday night after their boat became trapped in ice on Lake Superior near Marquette. Rescuers from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Coast Guard had to cut their way through the ice to reach the stranded vessel in the Upper Harbor. They were able to guide the boat back to shore. No injuries were reported.
