Bills to Increase Access to Birth Control Will be Introduced in MI House

Women in Michigan would have easier access to emergency contraceptives if they were sexually assaulted under a bill soon to be introduced in the Michigan House.

The bill, and a series of others, are part of the House Democrats plan to increase women’s access to birth control.

Another measure would prohibit employers from discriminating against women who use birth control.

Lawmakers are currently on summer break so the earliest the bills could be introduced is mid-August.
