Bill Would Keep Strip Clubs That Sell Liquor From Going Full Nude

Legislation to ban full nude entertainment at businesses that serve alcohol is advancing through the state legislature.

A court recently ruled Michigan’s ban on full nudity at businesses that serve alcohol unconstitutional.

Bill sponsor, Senator Rick Jones says his legislation would bring the state in-line with the ruling.

The court decision said Michigan had no rational reason for the nudity ban.

Jones bill would base the ban on negative secondary effects of these businesses like prostitution, drug trafficking, and fraud.

The bill would not affect businesses that provide just topless entertainment.

A Senate panel sent the measure to the full chamber.
