Bicyclist Taken To The Hospital After Being Hit By A Vehicle In Houghton

The Houghton Police Department is investigating a personal injury accident in Houghton.

The accident happened just after 5pm Tuesday.

A 22-year-old Chassell man was bicycling south on Bridge street near Montezuma Avenue when he collided with a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male from Atlantic Mine.

Police say the bicyclist was going the wrong way on Bridge Street.

The person on the bicycle was taken to U.P. Health System—Portage by Mercy Ambulance.

His condition was not reported.
