Benishek Supports Maple Syrup Industry

Congressman Dan Benishek is urging the House Appropriations Committee to fund the Acer Access and Development Program, which will enhance the growth of the maple syrup industry. Benishek says the manufacturing of maple syrup is an important and growing industry and promoting local businesses will create more jobs. Michigan currently ranks 5th in Maple Syrup Production in the U.S. In 2013, 148,000 gallons of maple syrup were produced in Michigan.
