Beers Need Volunteers at Keweenaw Brewfest on Saturday

Keweenaw Brewfest’s return to Houghton on Saturday will pour a lot of beers. And to do so, the Rotary Club will need a lot of volunteers. While many rotary members will help out during the festival, the event requires many positions are filled to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience. Houghton Rotary Board member Eric Stier says that it’s never too late to sign up as a volunteer for the event. But it’s very important to sign up before training tomorrow evening.

“We encourage anyone interested in being a volunteer. It’s not too late, it’s never too late. You can go to Keweenawbrewfest.org, with a volunteer button on the website. As a part of that on Thursday evening. At the Lakeshore Center where the actual event is going to happen. We are going to have a volunteer training session. And that will be for all volunteers to show what we need to do before the event, during the festival, and after the event. But all volunteers really need to come to that training to make sure we have a smooth event for the community.” – Eric Stier, Board Member, Rotary Club of Houghton.

Volunteer positions for Keweenaw Brewfest will keep drinks flowing, ensure people enjoy the day responsibly, and assist with medical attention if needed. Keweenaw Brewfest organizers say that the event will include music from the local band Rewind, food provided by the Houghton Football Club, and more than 300 drink options to choose from. Those interested in joining the volunteer team for Keweenaw Brewfest can find more information for training here. Links to purchase tickets to Keweenaw Brewfest can be found here.
