Baraga Toys for Tots Campaign Begins

The Baraga County Toys for Tots campaign got off to a big start yesterday at the annual kickoff concert in Skanee. Howard Mattson of the Marine Corps League says they’ll need every penny of that… and more… MATTSON A. 18-hundred dollars in cash and toys came in at the concert… and an additional 11-hundred was raised over the summer through returnable can collections and fundraisers at Witz’s Marina. Mattson says all the donations stay at home… MATTSON B. Members of the Marine Corps League will be setting donation boxes out at local businesses soon.

Performers this year included Ray Hill, Bill Kautto, Ed Kilpela, Mike Roberts, Todd VanDyke, Bertha Hommer, Pat Clow, Sally Klaasen, Lyn Michaels, Kris Rice, Laura Augustine and Gale Eilola.
