Baraga County’s Father Nicholas Thompson Leaving For Colorado

Father Nicholas Thompson will soon be leaving his position with three Catholic parishes in Baraga County for ministry in Colorado.  Effective April 15, Fr. Thompson will be relieved as associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in L’Anse, St. Ann Parish in Baraga and The Most Holy Name of Jesus/St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish in Assinins and released for service in the Archdiocese of Denver.

A native of Menominee, Fr. Thompson was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Marquette on June 3, 2011.  He first served as associate pastor of St. Michael Parish in Marquette for two years before beginning his current assignment in L’Anse, Baraga and Assinins on August 1, 2013.
