Baraga County tourism officials will celebrate the opening of the new Baraga County Lake and Country Tour Saturday.
The tour is a newly-signed circle route that covers 52 miles from downtown L’Anse through Pequaming, Aura and Skanee.
Tracey Barrett from the Convention and Visitors Bureau says the route is set up on public roads, but can be navigated in any number of ways.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy much of what makes northeastern Baraga County charming.
The route will be inaugurated with two group rides tomorrow. A bicycle tour will leave L’Anse Waterfront Park at 9:00 am. A motorcycle ride will depart from the park at 1:00 pm.
Maps of the designated route that include a description of highlights are available at the Baraga County Convention and Visitors Bureau office on US-41, and will also be available inside a weatherproof box at Waterfront Park.
