Aspirus is trying to break a world record and they need help. Nursing moms are invited to get together with other moms at the Aspirus Houghton Clinic this Saturday to help break the world record for the most women breastfeeding simultaneously. The “Big Latch On” event is held every August to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week. It involves groups of breastfeeding women coming together at registered locations around the world to all “latch on” their child or children at the same time. Participation is free. Participants are asked to arrive at 10 a.m. in order to settle in before the 10:30 a.m. start time. A worldwide total is collected from each registered location with the goal of beating last year’s record of 14,356 children breastfeeding across 845 locations in 28 countries.
