Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say they’ve arrested someone in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident in December. Police say they have made an arrest in the accident in which 54-year-old Robin Rahoi of Big Bay was killed. She was killed in an accident on County Road KCB in Powell Township on December 17. Police arrested the suspected hit-and-run driver Monday afternoon. The driver is charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident when at fault, resulting in death. The potential penalty if found guilty is 15 years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both. Police say the suspect is in the Marquette County Jail on $150,000 bond. The suspect’s name will not be released until after an arraignment can take place in 96th District Court.
