Gas prices continue to fall across Michigan.
A news survey from Triple-A Michigan shows that for the fifth consecutive week, the statewide average weekly gas price has decreased at least six cents or more from the previous week.
That leaves the current statewide average at $2.49 per gallon, about six cents less than last week’s average and about a $1.09 less than this same time last year.
Of the cities surveyed by Triple-A the lowest average price for self-serve unleaded fuel can be found in the Benton Harbor area, where it’s about $2.40 per gallon.
The highest average price can be found in the Traverse City area, where it’s about $2.58 a gallon.
