The Board of State Canvassers has approved language for another petition recalling Governor Rick Snyder.
It’s the third petition the panel has approved recently and the second relating to the Flint water crisis.
The language in this petition was taken directly from the governor’s own words in his State of the State Address.
During the January speech he admitted that government failed the people of Flint and apologized for the city’s water crisis.
The next step in the recall process is collecting the nearly 790,000 signatures necessary to put the question to voters.
The board also rejected an attempt to recall the lieutenant governor and approved petition language to recall state Senator Jim Stamas.
