Ann Arbor Residents Oppose Plan To Cull Deer

About one dozen Ann Arbor residents are going to court to stop the city’s plan for a deer cull in parks over the next two months.

Two dozen parks and nature areas will be closed at night to allow agents contracted with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to kill about 100 deer.

Supporters of the cull say the deer are a nuisance and destroy property, but opponents want Ann Arbor to use alternative methods for reducing the deer population.
