In light of the tragic killings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota and the five Police Officers who were killed in Dallas last week, Michigan Tech’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion invites the community to engage in a meaningful dialogue about the realities of violence plaguing the nation.
The CDI intends to use its space to help process and reflect on recent events.
CDI Director Kellie Raffaelli says “the Center is a place where all members of the community are welcome for purposes of healing, empowerment, affirmation and support.”
The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday (July 15) in the Hamar House on the Michigan Tech campus.
