It’s now the homestretch in the first round of the Kraft Hockeyville USA contest.
As of this morning, Dee Stadium in Houghton was leading all other Upper Peninsula rinks with more than 500 nominations.
The Calumet Colosseum and the Lakeview Arena in Marquette were neck and neck–each with roughly 300 votes.
The winner of the contest will receive $150,000 for rink improvements and will bring an NHL preseason game to the area.
Nominations must be in by this Wednesday that will help Kraft Foods determine which communities advance to the second round.
