An Atlantic Mine woman is injured following a snowmobile accident in Adams Township.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened yesterday just before noon on Trail number 121—North Freda Trail.
The 32-year-old woman was reportedly traveling southbound in a party of two snowmobiles when she lost control on a bumpy portion of a curve on the trail.
She was then thrown from the snowmobile and hit a tree.
She suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken to U.P. Health System—Portage for treatment.
