7,430 Huskies Call Michigan Technological University Home

Michigan Technological University welcomes many familiar faces to campus. And excitedly welcomes 110 new additional students compared to 2023. Michigan Technological University recently announced the institution’s student figures for the new school term, noting that 7,430 huskies call the Copper Country home. The addition of new students to campus continues the school’s recent track of continual rise, 1.5% more than in 2023. Undergraduate enrollment is seeing a higher boost to the campus population. Michigan Tech also proudly boasts of an 88.7 percent retention rate, reflecting the students’ dedication to success. The university claims innovative education and research on campus drive students coming to Houghton, such as the recent addition of the school’s nursing program, and the new H-STEM Complex that opened in the spring. Michigan Tech continues to work on enhancing the student-on-campus experience through projects aligned with the campus master plan.
