4-H Summer Camp Registration Open

Are you looking for exciting summertime activities for your son or daughter this summer?  Look no further.  MSU-Extension is proud to announce the U.P. 4-H Summer Camp at Camp Molinare in Dickinson County.  Camps are open to all youth and are made possible through 4-H (youth do not need to be in 4-H to attend).

The U.P 4-H Summer Camp has three different session options throughout the month of July at Camp Molinare (Dickinson County).  Two of the sessions, for Cloverbuds ages 5 to 8, and for youth ages 9 to 14. The Cloverbud session runs from July 8 to 10 and costs $100.  Youth who are already Michigan 4-H members may subtract the $10 Michigan 4-H participation fee. Camp for youth ages 9 to 14 is scheduled for July 13 to 17 and costs $150. Full and partial scholarships are available.  U.P. 4-H Summer Camp includes swimming, fishing, canoeing, outdoor field sport recreation, arts and crafts and campfires. The U.P. 4-H Summer Camp experience offers campers an opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills.  Exploring the outdoor world is a major part of the camp experience with an emphasis on respect and care for our world and each other.  This year the U.P. 4-H summer camp program is welcoming youth from the entire Upper Peninsula for greater diversity and opportunities.

The third camp at Camp Molinare is a shooting sports camp for youth ages 10-19 during the weekend of July 10-12.  There is also a Day Camp planned for July 18, 10 am – 3 pm for ages 5-14 and the cost is $15

Campers will need to provide their own transportation.  Partial scholarships are available through Houghton/Keweenaw County 4-H Council.

Registration Opened May 1st
