The Michigan Duck Hunters Association and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources have introduced the 2014 collector-edition Michigan duck stamp and prints. The Michigan Duck Stamp Program was established in 1976. Each year, it features an image that wins a statewide competition. This year’s stamp was designed by wildlife artist Christopher Smith, of Suttons Bay. Smith also designed the 2005 stamp. These are collectors items, and can be purchased by anyone. They are not part of the state’s duck hunting licensing program, although individuals who purchase duck hunting licenses qualify to receive a free stamp. Proceeds from the sale of the stamps support wildlife projects undertaken by the Michigan Duck Hunters Association. To order stamps, click here.
