$1.5 Billion Up For Grabs In Tonight's Powerball Drawing

The Powerball jackpot has grown again. Wednesday’s drawing will now be worth at least $1.5 billion.

In Michigan, people have bought 7.1 million tickets for the Powerball drawing. 3.2 million tickets were sold on Tuesday alone, at a clip of 275,000 tickets an hour.

The size of the jackpot could grow even more by Wednesday’s drawing.
The highest winning ticket in any lottery game before this was $656 million in a Mega Millions game.

The last Michigan player to win a Powerball jackpot was Julie Leach, of Three Rivers. In September, Leach won the game’s $310.5 million jackpot.
