A 51-year-old Wisconsin man had to be treated at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital following a single-snowmobile crash Thursday evening. Keweenaw County Sheriff personnel responded at roughly 5 PM. The accident occurred on Trail 3 where it intersects with the western end of Brockway Mountain Drive in Eagle Harbor Township.
The man was heading south when he lost control of his sled. Speed is considered the primary factor in the wreck. The department did not mention alcohol as a possible contributor. There are no other immediate details available regarding the accident. It remains under investigation.
