Santa sure will be busy tomorrow running around the copper country visiting the towns of the Keweenaw. After stopping in Calumet tomorrow afternoon, Santa will meet up with his cartoon friends at Winter Wonderland in Houghton. Tomorrow during the late afternoon, Houghton’s pier will fill up with friends, and families celebrating the special time of the year.
“Of course we had skate with Santa last weekend at The Dee. That went very well, they certainly had a lot of fun. This Saturday from 4 to 7 pm on the pier, we’re going to do the second installment of Winter Wonderland.” – Eric Waara, Houghton City Manager
In addition to hanging out with Santa, and his friends, enjoy cocoa and coffee around a fire. Or take a horse drawn carriage ride around Lakeshore Drive and Houghton’s waterfront. The final weekend of winter wonderland in Houghton will also have a holiday photographer on hand and music playing on the pier. Winter Wonderland in Houghton begins at 4 pm and ends at 7 pm tomorrow.
