Sunny days are on their way, as the Copper Country warms up to spring. With the change of seasons comes some great opportunities to check out the natural wonders and beauty of the Keweenaw Peninsula.
Visit Keweenaw wants to encourage residents and visitors to get out early this spring and capture their perspective as a part of a new spring photo contest. The Capture the Keweenaw Spring Photo Contest challenges the area to submit its best photo capturing the emergence of spring into the Copper Country. Visit Keweenaw asks participants to submit a single photo from their collection, note where in Houghton or Keweenaw County the photo was taken, and complete a contest submission form by April 5th.
The contest will award the top three photo submissions with first place earning 150 dollars in Keweenaw Cash and a framed print of their photo from the Print Shop in Houghton. 2nd place will receive 100 dollars in Keweenaw cash, and 3rd place will be awarded 50 dollars in Keweenaw cash.
Visit Keweenaw plans to announce the contest’s awardees on April 6th.
