Viking Octantis Set to Make First Stop in the Copper Country

Tomorrow morning the Viking cruise ship Octantis will make their first arrival in the Copper Country. Previously weather prevented the 665 foot long vessel from making their initial visit to Houghton a couple weeks ago. The plan will have the ship anchored near Dollar Bay, and ferry passengers three miles to Bridge View Park. There passengers will head off to their excursions, and crew members will stick around the area. For community members hoping to get a look at the impressively large boat, it is suggested to travel to the Nara Nature Park boardwalk for the best view. The ship is expected to depart for their next stop around 6 pm tomorrow night.
