MDOT will begin work on a 600,000-dollar road project in Chassell this weekend. On Saturday the Michigan Department of Transportation will start work on concrete pavement repairs along US-41 between North Entry Road and Wilson Memorial Drive in Chassell. The work will include concrete sawing, patchwork, and joint sealing. The state transportation department anticipates work will last until September 27th. While work takes place traffic will reduce to a single alternating lane between 6 am and midnight Monday through Friday. The department says the 600,000-dollar investment will improve safety on the roadway and extend the lifespan of the road.
