Upper Peninsula Teen Defensive Driving Program Starts in June

There’s something freeing about driving down the highway with the windows down. But it’s always important to have the right skills in case traffic slows down the summertime cruising. At the end of June Michigan State Police will host the 3rd annual Upper Peninsula Teen Defensive driving program. Throughout the educational program, MSP troopers will work with young drivers to improve their skills on the road, such as skid control, precision maneuvering, and controlled braking before putting it to the test. The program seeks to work with drivers who have already passed the graduated level two driving courses and will have a limited amount of space available. Over driving course’s three days, teens will practice with MSP troopers at the Upper Peninsula State fairgrounds.
