Upper Peninsula CNHA Surveys start arriving in the mail

A region-wide health survey may show up in the mailbox today.

On Tuesday the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department announced the Upper Peninsula Community Needs and Health Assessment survey will begin arriving at randomly selected households today. The assessments are sponsored by regional healthcare partners including health departments, hospitals, and health foundations. The purpose of the survey says health officer Kate Beer, will gather accurate snapshots of health in the Upper Peninsula residents, and learn about community needs.

She adds the survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and helps healthcare leaders plan for future service and program needs.

As appreciation for submitting a response, households that complete the survey by the end of the month will enter to win a prize drawing for one of 28 grocery gift cards worth 50 dollars.

Survey responses are anonymous, and findings are published for entire counties.

Respondents can submit a paper copy of the survey or find more information for accessing the survey online.
