Michigan Tech’s Health Research Institute and the Norther Michigan University’s Center for Rural Health have partnered to bring an important series on health to the community. Last year Michigan Tech discussed health related, covid -19 topics during 27 town halls, that aired online, radio and television. Tonight the series returns, though with a slight change in direction. Instead, focusing on rural health in the Upper Peninsula and providing information to listeners about improving individual and community health. Tonight’s broadcast can be found online, or tune in to 97.7 WOLV, to hear from moderators Steven Elmer and Kelly Kamm, at 7pm. If you missed tonight’s broadcast, the Rural Health Town Hall will air on ABC 10 UP, this Sunday at noon. Organizers of the town hall have another one planned for December first, and more after the new year.
