Two arrested after home search turns up crystal meth

Two men are currently housed at the Houghton County Jail following the execution of a search warrant at a Stanton Township home by law enforcement yesterday. Inside the Superior View Road residence was a “significant amount” of crystal methamphetamine, which has been seized by police.

Both men, one 31- and the other 34 years old, are charged with possession with intent to deliver, a felony. The younger man was already wanted for absconding on his parole, and the older man was in violation of an existing bond, which will mean additional charges in the future.

Their identities are being withheld until arraignment. The investigation into the matter is still ongoing. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Keweenaw County Sheriff – K-9 unit, Michigan State Police K-9, MSP – Calumet Post and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET).
