Trail 3 near Copper Harbor “ride at your own risk”

Brockway Mountain will be best viewed from afar for the next 24 hours or so. The Keweenaw Snowmobile Club will not be grooming a portion of Trail 3 until midday Wednesday at the earliest due to the winter storm. The portion of the trail that hugs US-41 will be maintained throughout most of Keweenaw County. Once it breaks north at Clear Lake and then east again towards Copper Harbor is when the untended stretch will greet sled operators. One possible alternate route is staying on Trail 134 and then turning onto 135 to ride into Copper Harbor from the southeast.

Route 134, also known as the Mandan Road, begins near Lac La Belle and Bete Grise. It then heads out to High Rock before looping back on Clark Mine Road. Any trail not being groomed is considered “ride at your own risk.”
