Bringing Broadway to the Keweenaw takes a lot of dedication to the arts and local community. Planning for the beloved musical performance of My Fair Lady coming from the Lincoln Center Theater says Rozsa Director Mary Jennings, to the Rozsa Center’s Stage, took over twelve months. Lerner and Lowe’s Tony-nominated production of My Fair Lady will include many beloved classic songs like I Could Have Danced All Night and The Rain in Spain.
“So many factors go into how these huge tours travel around the country. And so it’s part luck, part persistence. And the fact that we know that we’ve been able to bring these kinds of shows in the past, maybe not one this big, but they know that the folks here at the Rose Center at Michigan Tech, our incredible crew that’s almost entirely made up of students, are going to meet the moment.” – Mary Jennings, Director, Rozsa Center
My Fair Lady will travel to the Keweenaw Peninsula for one night only before moving forward on their national tour. Jennings says that the single night is a fantastic opportunity to take in a Broadway-style show with the comforts of home at the Rozsa Center here in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Actors will take to the stage at 7:30 pm tomorrow. The production of My Fair Lady presented by the Rozsa Center includes pay-as-you-are-able ticketing. Tickets for the show have a face value of 40 dollars.
