– At Hurontown, McGann’s faces Downtowner Two at 6:15, and then plays Library/906 Vapor at 7:30.
MLB
The Texas Rangers pounded out 15 hits, and defeated the Detroit Tigers 5-2 last night. Matthew Boyd took the loss, giving up four runs and 12 hits before leaving in the sixth inning. Ian Kinsler homered for Detroit.
The Tigers open a four-game series at Houston tonight. Michael Fulmer will start against Brad Peacock. Pregame coverage will begin at 7:45 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
Victor Martinez is expected to be back in the Detroit lineup tonight, after missing three games while on paternity leave.
The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs 13-6 yesterday. Chicago scored in every inning except the second. Chase Anderson gave up six over four innings, and took the loss. Five of Milwaukee’s runs came in the ninth, when the game was well out of reach.
The Brewers have today off, and host the Blue Jays tomorrow night. Jimmy Nelson will pitch against Joe Biagini.
NHL
In the NHL playoffs yesterday, the Penguins routed the Senators 7-0. Pittsburgh leads the Eastern Conference final 3-2, and could advance to the Stanley Cup final with a win tomorrow at Ottawa.
The Predators could move into the final with a win tonight at home against the Ducks. Nashville leads the Western Conference final 3-2.
NBA
In the NBA playoffs yesterday, the Celtics edged the Cavaliers 111-108. Cleveland leads the Eastern Conference final 2-1. That series continues tomorrow at Cleveland.
The Warriors could move into the NBA final with a win tonight at San Antonio. Golden State leads the Western Conference series 3-0.
