Keeping up with the kids can be difficult. But they did say parenting would have its challenges. On Friday the Portage Lake District Library hosts the Copper Country Intermediate School District’s luncheon Parent Café. The Be Safe Families Parent Café program focuses on starting conversations with parents and caregivers of children with disabilities. The program emphasizes the five Strengthening Families Proactive Factors of Resilience, relationships, knowledge, support, and communication. Participants on Friday are encouraged to register ahead of the event. The Parent Café luncheon will serve lunch for those in attendance and will begin at 1130 am on Friday in the PLDL Community room. Those interested in learning more about the parent café with CCISD and the Portage lake District Library can find more details here.
