Thanksgiving meals with Little Brothers bring seniors and volunteers together

A big meal means a big table. Thanksgiving with Little Brother Friends of the Elderly has become a fun tradition for seniors, volunteers, and area sponsors. The meal organized by LBFE invites Copper Country’s elders to visit one of several sites for dinner with friends or to contact the organization to set up a meal delivery and visit with a friend.

“So we have many volunteers and elders who have made it their holiday tradition to come to the sites. They look forward to seeing their neighbors and having a traditional Thanksgiving meal.”– Pamela Lowney, Program Manager, Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly

Volunteers and individuals who donate are central to the LBFE Thanksgiving tradition each year. Anyone interested in donating a dessert or wanting to volunteer during the day should contact Little Brother Friends of the Elderly for more details. Seniors in the region who have yet to set up their Thanksgiving plans can call the LBFE office to set up a delivery or pick-up time to make sure everyone has a fun and friendly Thanksgiving Day.
