Isle Royale’s ability to inspire art extends to even young people in the community.
Soon after the ball drops and the calendar turns over to 2025 the Isle Royale National Park will begin accepting applications for the 2025 summer teen artist exploration program. The National Park Service offers opportunities for teens to explore Isle Royale and create art over six days.
The program selects two artists and provides a mentor to teens to provide coaching. On the first and final day artists and their families will ride aboard the Ranger III. The National Park Service will begin accepting applications from January 2nd until February 16th.
The summer teen artist exploration program on Isle Royale is sponsored by the National Park Service, the Isle Royale and Keweenaw Parks Association, and the Copper Country Community Arts Council.
